The Iraq war film 'Fair Game', starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts, has been booed during a screening at Cannes.

However, the Doug Liman-directed film was also greeted with a round of applause ahead of its red carpet premiere at the film festival.

The film tells the true story of a CIA agent betrayed by the Bush administration.
