Farrell set to star in 'Fright Night' remake

Irish actor Colin Farrell and Toni Collette are to star in a remake of 'Fright Night'.

Farrell will play charismatic Jerry, who happens to be a vampire, who moves in next door to a disapproving mother (Collette) who soon falls for his charms, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s 'Heat Vision' blog.

The pair will appear alongside 'Star Trek' star Anton Yelchin, who will play Collette’s character’s teenage son, the only person in the neighbourhood who realises Jerry is a vampire.

Craig Gillespie is directing the remake of the cult 1985 movie in which Chris Sarandon originally starred as Jerry.
