Hayes and Kennedy take over 2fm morning slot

RTÉ has today announced its plans to replace 'The Gerry Ryan Show' on 2fm following the death of the presenter this day last week.

From Monday, Colm Hayes and RTÉ presenter Lucy Kennedy will host 'The Colm and Lucy Show'.

It will be produced by the current Gerry Ryan Show production team and will run for four weeks.

During that time an announcement will be made about the long-term future of the slot.

Paddy McKenna will co-present the 'Colm and Jim-Jim Show' with Jim Nugent.

2fm boss John McMahon said everyone at RTÉ had been devastated by Ryan's death, but that the show must go on, albeit with a heavy heart.
