Bullock to allow James to help raise adopted son

Sandra Bullock still wants Jesse James to play a role in her adopted son's life.

The Oscar-winning actress has filed for divorce from the motorcycle entrepreneur following allegations he cheated on her with a string of women but says she would like him to be involved with three-month-old Louis because she knows what a great father he is.

She told Britain's Hello! magazine: "I will be adopting as a single parent. Anything else will be taken day by day.

"I have a different relationship with Jesse now. A bittersweet one. One of new understanding. One of forgiveness. One of support for his recovery. One that changed my life.

"I don't really know how our paths will intersect in the future, but the father I have known Jesse to be with all the kids is one that I hope Louis can experience one day, no matter how Jesse and I go on with our lives."

James - who recently left rehab following treatment for sex addiction - has three children, Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., 12, and six-year-old Sunny, from previous marriages and Bullock would also like the kids to be involved in Louis' life.

She said: "I know my role is not one that exists on paper, but Louis is their brother, and Jesse and I will do whatever it takes for them to know that their world will not change and still be protected and safe and full of love. It will just have a slightly different dynamic now."
