Movie star Michael Madsen left the Gumball 3,000 Rally on its first day after police stopped his driver for speeding, event organisers said today.

The 'Reservoir Dogs' actor flew to the US following the incident, which took place in Belgium on Saturday as participating super-cars powered towards their first stop-over in Amsterdam.
