Diaz 'honoured' to be part of Shrek story
Cameron Diaz is not prepared for the end of ‘Shrek’.
The 37-year-old actress - who voices Fiona in all of the animated movies – admits she is “honoured” to be a part of the story which comes to a conclusion with the release of ‘Shrek Forever After’.
She said: “It’s something that I hadn’t comprehended at the depth that I do when I’m talking about it. It is actually the end of Shrek and the story of Far Far Away and all the characters, Shrek and Fiona.
“It’s been a wonderful ride. I feel honoured to be a part of it.”
Her co-star Eddie Murphy also reveals there is not as many off-the-cuff jokes as many may think.
He told BBC News: “There’s not as much improvising as you’d think. We probably do one or two takes where we improvise but for the most part they’re really specific about how you do stuff and what you say. There’s a little bit of improvising, but it’s mostly being directed.”
‘Shrek Forever After’ is released in the UK on July 9.
