Glee's Lynch to marry long-term partner

Jane Lynch is engaged to her partner Dr Lara Embry.

The 'Glee' actress - who portrays aggressive cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester in the musical TV show - has revealed she is "very excited" about marrying her long-term partner, even though they haven't started planning their day yet.

The 49-year-old star told UsMagazine.com: "Yes, yes, it's true! We don't have any plans at all yet. But I have a ring and everything. We're very happy and very excited!"

It had been reported the pair were planning to tie the knot in May, although this has been denied by Lynch's spokesperson.

Embry - who is a psychologist - has two children from a previous relationship to another woman.

She won a highly-publicised custody battle last year, and now shares custody of the children - one of which is her biological child - with her ex-partner.

While she is thrilled about her upcoming wedding, Lynch is also excited about the new series of 'Glee' - which will feature a number of celebrity guest stars.

She added: "Olivia Newton John visits and we do the 'Physical' video together. I sing 'Let's Get Physical.'"
