‘Clash of the Titans’ boasts great cast and solid direction

With such a distinguished cast, this re-make of the 1980s classic is raised above the usual level of your average sand-and-sandals epic … though do expect to meet plenty of the customary warring Gods and battles between good and evil.

Worthington plays the human son Perseus – Dad is the God Zeus (Neeson, looking suitably imposing) – who sets out to save the world from evil underworld hood Hades (Fiennes) and his gang.

There’s plenty of action and entertainment thanks to some fine directing and a cast that gives its all, with talk of several more Titan films to come.
