A remarkable film from Australia set in a remote Aboriginal community and quite brilliantly directed by debutant Thornton on a shoestring budget with unknown native actors.

The Samson and Delilah of the title try to escape a tragedy by going on a journey of self-discovery in a film that points a forceful finger at the treatment of Australia’s aboriginal population yet does it with compassion and feeling.
