The Hoff to shoot TV special in Ireland
David Hasselhoff is set to film a TV special in Ireland, he has revealed.
The show, for US television network PBS, will take place in various traditional locations around the country.
"We will shoot a special in the castles of Ireland," said the former âBaywatchâ actor, "With the Celtic women dancing in unison with me."
He is also set to headline his own Las Vegas show, it has emerged.
Hasselhoff, who has also had a pop career, and has achieved chart success in Germany - is currently working on a âmusical showâ which will be a cross between his 80s TV programme âKnight Riderâ and the classic âSin Cityâ performances of stars like Frank Sinatra.
Speaking at a âKnight Riderâ festival in Las Vegas, Hasselhoff â who is also known as âThe Hoffâ - said: âI think itâs going to be very soon now that Iâm back here with my own show. I have a musical show. We just performed it and it went great. Weâre getting offers. Iâm talking with hotels here.
âIt will be the âRat Packâ meets âThe Hoffâ meets âKnight Riderâ.
âMaybe Iâll start downtown. I like it here. It has the old Vegas vibe and then Iâll move it to the Strip later.â
Hasselhoff had been working on the judging panel of Simon Cowellâs show âAmericaâs Got Talentâ, until he quit last year.
However, the 57-year-old star claims he has never been so busy, as he prepares to release an album of love songs.
He added to the Las Vegas Sun newspaper: âIâm the busiest Iâve been in a long time.
âIâm going over to Germany, where my music business is still extraordinarily big. Iâm recording a new romantic songs CD.â
