Arterton excited about upcoming releases
Gemma Arterton knows her upcoming films are good.
The 24-year-old actress, who began her movie career in 2007 comic caper ‘St Trinian’s’, admits she is excited about her upcoming films ‘Clash of the Titans’ and ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’.
She said: “It’s scary actually. I’ve been working away for the last two or three years and they’ve all come out at the same time. Fingers crossed everyone enjoys them. I’ve seen them both and they are both brilliant so that’s one weight off my shoulder.”
Discussing her current movie ‘Clash of the Titans’ – Gemma said she was nervous about its reception but thinks it is a classic story.
She told the BBC: “I get really, really nervous, excited, apprehensive. But I’ve seen the movie and I love it so at least I know it’s a good one.
“It’s classic. It’s just brilliant story telling. It’s full of wonders and it’s a magical world and I think it really captures everyone’s imagination. You can just tell it over and over again, which is what we’ve done.”
Gemma’s ‘Clash’ co-star Sam Worthington admitted earlier this week that he believed the film has a good message because his character – demi-God Perseus – learns to grow up.
He said: “His family get knocked out and he goes on a Charles Bronson-type revenge mission and learns to grow up and calm down. I think that's a pretty good message to get out there.”
