Goody left almost €3.3m for sons

Jade Goody left almost £3m (€3.3m) to her sons, it has been revealed.

The reality TV star – who died of cervical cancer last March – had all her assets, including property worth over £1m (€1.1m), jewellery and royalties, placed into a trust presided over by her three best friends, with the majority of her legacy going to her sons Freddie, five, and Bobby, six.

Although her widower, Jack Tweed, is also named as a beneficiary, he is unlikely to receive anything from the trust.

Her will reportedly reads: “My husband is unlikely to require access to all of the income and capital of my residuary estate to maintain his existing lifestyle."

A friend of the star told the News of the World newspaper: "It's not that she wanted Jack to have nothing. She was very generous when she was alive and he can ask for money from the trust if he likes.

“But Jade was adamant that she lived for her kids. They were the most important, and everything was geared to leaving them as financially secure as possible.

"The trust funds she set up will do that. And all the efforts of her trustees will be towards maximising the amount of money available to the children."

In addition, the ‘Big Brother’ star’s mother Jackiey Budden was left a “small gift” of £10,000 (€11,000) and Jade set aside £20,000 (€22,000) to pay for funerals of her grandparents Sylvia and John Craddock.

The document also states that the children’s father, Jeff Brazier, be their guardian until adulthood.

Jade’s will is currently being passed through probate - where debts are settled, assets liquidated and the final worth calculated before it is officially published.

It is likely to be settled within six weeks.

Her best friend Kate Jackson and close pals Danny Hayward and Simon Bridger - who were best men at her wedding and godfathers at her christening – are named in the legal document as trustees.
