Nerves getting the better of ‘Dancing On Ice’ hopeful Tamaddon
Hayley Tamaddon claims that she is suffering from crippling nerves on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who fell during her performance on the ITV show three weeks ago – claims she is now so panicky about the same thing happening again that she ends up crying and being sick before every show.
She said: "My nerves get the better of me a lot. Nerves in an adrenaline way are good, but when they take hold of your body they paralyse you.
"Sometimes I'm at the point where I cry because I'm that scared. It's something I've never felt before on stage or in a theatre. You're on ice - on tiny little blades of metal. It's real fear."
The 33-year-old actress – who takes to the ice with professional dancing partner Daniel Whiston tomorrow night – admitted the audience probably have no idea just how bad she feels because she tries to hide it from her face.
She told The Sun newspaper: "It's horrible. I have to work on my nerves. I've got terrible jelly legs. No one has any no idea. My legs go all wobbly and I feel sick.
"I make slip-ups and stumbles because I'm so nervous - not because I haven't practised.
"I hide it with my face but my tummy is churning and my feet don't want to go anywhere because I am shaking so much."
Despite the nerves, Hayley insists she is having fun and doesn't want the show to end.
She said: "We try to have as much fun as we possibly can. I could do this for the next 10 years - I never want it to end."
