Play to stage entire history of 'Coronation Street'

The entire 50-year history of 'Coronation Street' is to be packed into a new stage show.

The play will condense more than 7,000 episodes and 2,000 storylines into just two hours.

'Coronation Street Abridged Live' kicks off in August at the Lowry Theatre in Salford, England, ahead of the soap's golden anniversary, before touring the country.

The cast will not include any current or past actors from the programme.
