Charlie Sheen’s daughter thinks him going to rehab is a “positive thing”.

Cassandra Jade Estevez, 25, whose mother is Charlie’s high school girlfriend Paula Speert, admits she is glad her 44-year-old father has sought help for his problems.

She told website Radar Online: “I really don’t want to comment too much but it is a positive thing and he is just trying to do the right thing.”

The ‘Two and a Half Men’ star is close to Cassandra and has four other children from his two marriages to Brooke Mueller – who is currently in rehab – and Denise Richards.

Denise - who was married to Charlie for four years and has daughters Sam, five, and Lola Rose, four, with him - took to Twitter to berate the media for pursuing her following the news of her ex-husband’s admittance to a rehabilitation facility.

She wrote: “4 cars of paparazzi followed me to my daughters school. Kids school should be OFF Limits!!!!”

Friends are thought to have urged Charlie to enter rehab for the good of his two children with Brooke, 11-month-old twins Bob and Max.

A source said: “He loves his children and ultimately that’s what convinced him to get help.”
