Mikey Graham has been left devastated after another close friend of his passed away.

The Boyzone singer was left grief-stricken moments before his performance on ‘Dancing On Ice’ on Sunday, after he was told his close friend, Niall McCrudden, 41, had died the day before.

The singer revealed: “I’m very sad today. I lost a very close pal and found out before I went on the ice yesterday. So damn tough.”

The 37-year-old singer admitted he was struggling to accept the loss of his close pal - just months after his Boyzone bandmate Stephen Gately’s died while on holiday in Majorca on October 10, 2009.

Openly gay singer Stephen was enjoying a break with his partner Andrew Cowles when he died aged 33 of a heart condition.

Speaking about the recent loss of Niall and Stephen, Mikey said: “Another friend gone. RIP.”

Celebrity optician Niall, who met and started working with Boyzone in 1993, had reportedly been suffering from depression when his body was found at his home on Saturday.

Mikey’s bandmate Keith Duffy, 35 said: “He was one of life’s true gentlemen and had a heart the size of Ireland. Niall was such a selfless guy.”
