Police called to Coles' home in early hours of morning

Police in England have confirmed they were called to Cheryl and Ashley Cole's Surrey home in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 'X-Factor' judge was not there because she flew to Los Angeles after the Brit Awards.

Officers said they are investigating the call, believed to have been made by the footballer.

They have not commented on claims in The Sun that burglars were targetting Cheryl's wedding rings.
