Parton recalls depression in 1980s
Dolly Parton says she considered suicide when she realised it was too late for her to have children.
The country singer has revealed she fell into a dark depression when she started going through menopause in the 1980s because she had always hoped to be a mother.
The 64-year-old star says she and husband Carl Dean planned to have kids when they were younger, but her career got in the way.
