Ricky faces stag-night shock in EastEnders wedding drama

‘EastEnders’ character Ricky Butcher has to be rescued on his stag night by Pat Evans – who finds the groom-in-waiting tied up and dressed as a French maid.

Hapless Ricky (Sid Owen) is left by his friends in the embarrassing situation during his final night of freedom, and as well as donning a dress he is also left blindfolded and has lipstick smeared across his face.

To make matters worse, Ricky thinks he has been taken to France, however, he is really in the back of a van parked in Albert Square.

Pat (Pat St Clement) comes to Ricky’s rescue after bride-to-be Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) tells her to call his phone enabling them to find out where he is.

A source said: “As ever nothing goes smoothly for Ricky and Bianca. He thinks he’s crossed the Channel and will miss his wedding as well as copping an earful from Bianca. Luckily for him he’s only in the Square.”

Viewers can see Ricky’s torment in the BBC One soap on February 16.

The couple tie the knot for the second time later in the month, as 'EastEnders' celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Soap bosses hope the wedding will prove as big a hit in the ratings as their original union, which pulled in 22 million viewers.
