Singer Doherty voted top nightmare neighbour

Hellraiser Pete Doherty was named the nation’s nightmare celebrity neighbour today.

The Babyshambles musician – who has hit the headlines in the past for infuriating landlords by throwing parties and leaving his homes dirty, blood-spattered and filled with litter – was voted the least desirable neighbour in Zoopla.co.uk’s Celebrity Neighbour Survey for 2010.

Fellow troubled singer and friend of Doherty, Amy Winehouse, came a close second in the poll.

Party-loving glamour model Katie Price, aka Jordan, was voted the third least desirable neighbour, while former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona, who was dropped as the face of supermarket chain Iceland after she was filmed apparently taking drugs, also made the top 10 in seventh place.

Comedian and actor Stephen Fry, who has bonded with his fans over social networking site Twitter, was voted the most desired celebrity neighbour, while Cheryl Cole proved she was everyone’s favourite girl-next-door, being named in second place.

Property developer and TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp, co-host of house-hunting show 'Location, Location, Location', came third in the poll, followed by TV chef and school-dinners campaigner Jamie Oliver.

Celebrity Big Brother star and Hollywood hardman Vinnie Jones split the vote, being named the seventh most desired celebrity neighbour, as well as the ninth most undesirable.

X Factor duo John and Edward “Jedward” Grimes, hell-raising rocker Ozzy Osbourne and foul-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay all made the top 10 least desired celerity neighbours list.

Meanwhile, 'Top Gear' presenter Jeremy Clarkson was voted the fifth most desirable star to have as a neighbour, despite his love of loud, fast cars.

'How To Look Good Naked' presenter Gok Wan and comedian Ricky Gervais also made the top 10 favoured celebrity neighbours.
