'The Body' to host new model reality show

Supermodel Elle Macpherson was named as the new host of 'Britain’s Next Top Model' today.

The series pits 25 aspiring fashion beauties against one another, with glamorous photo shoots and “catfights on the catwalk” promised.

Each week, Macpherson and a team of judges will eliminate one contestant in their quest to find a new cover star, with the winner scooping a contract with agency Models 1 and a cover spread for glossy magazine Company.

Macpherson said: “I am really enthusiastic and motivated to work with the team of Britain’s Next Top Model...We are looking forward to finding the face that can represent the next generation.”

Macpherson, dubbed 'The Body', will also be executive producer of the show, previously fronted by Lisa Snowdon.

The new series kicks off this summer on Living.
