Jones 'disappointed' at level of celebrity in CBB
Vinnie Jones has accused ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ bosses of tricking him into appearing on the show.
The footballer-turned-actor – who came third in the final of the reality show on Friday night - admitted he “really struggled” in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house because he’d been shocked by the “calibre” of celebrities who joined him.
He said: “They led me to believe there would be a higher calibre of celebrities. I felt very down for the first few days and I wondered what I’d done. I thought the level of celebrity was going to be much higher to be honest.”
Despite his disappointment, the 45-year-old star regretted not making more of an effort with his housemates when he first went in.
He told the News of the World newspaper: “I could have mingled a bit easier. I went in as the most recognisable person really. I really struggled.”
Runner-up Dane Bowers also revealed yesterday that he’d only gone in the house to boost his flagging career.
The ex-boy band star said: “I really wanted this show to get me back into working, to be honest. I’ve stopped working - I’ve wanted to get back into presenting. Singing I really love but I just don’t know if I’ve got it in me again.”
