Hard-hitting movie 'Precious' hits silver screen

Mariah Carey is hitting the big screen today.

The singer plays a dowdy social worker in 'Precious' - a hard-hitting movie about an obese, illiterate 16-year-old who's abused by her parents.

It may sound like a tough sell, but it's tipped to do well at the Oscars, and has earned star Gabourey Sidibe a Bafta nomination.

She said it's worth seeing for Mo'Nique's performance as Mary.
