Filan a dad again

Shane Filan has become a father for the third time.

The Westlife star - who already has two children, four-year-old Nicole Rose and 16-month-old Michael - has welcomed another son to the world, who has been named Shane Peter Filan, with his wife Gillian.

The pop star dashed to Sligo General Hospital in with Gillian on Friday night and their son was born shortly after 9.30pm, weighing in at 6lbs 9oz.

A source said: "Shane and Gillian are over the moon with their new arrival. They're thrilled it's a boy and have decided to call him after his dad, which Shane is chuffed about. Both mum and baby are doing great, although it was a last-minute dash to get to the hospital."

Shane's bandmate Nicky Byrne has two-year-old twin sons, Rocco and Jay, with wife Georgina while fellow group members Kian Egan and Mark Feehily are yet to become fathers.
