Broderick learning fatherhood on the fly
Matthew Broderick makes up his parenting decisions as he goes along.
The âWonderful Worldâ star, who has three children with âSex and the Cityâ star Sarah Jessica Parker, has confessed he is learning how to be a better dad every day.
He said: âI love being a father, but I donât have any advice about it. I guess I could say the same thing about my marriage, basically.
âIt just develops and changes and Iâm very lucky with who I ended up with. And weâve been together a pretty long time.â
Discussing his new twin daughters Tabitha and Marion, who were born with the help of a surrogate, Matthew said they were âvery easy to take care ofâ.
The 47-year-old actor â who also has a seven-year-old son James with wife Sarah - added to Parade.com: âThey sleep through the night now. But they had colds over Christmas and they would wake up every two hours coughing.
âItâs really hard because one would hear the other cry and start crying too, so that was absolutely exhausting. But I wonât lie, we have plenty of help because you canât really handle them alone.â
Sarah, 44, has previously admitted she was unsure about having twins.
She said: âWe didnât want twins but we wanted a bigger family and this is what we got.â
