DJ 'tortured' by own music in 'Big Brother' punishment

'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate Jonas Altberg described his own music as “torture” last night after he was forced to listen to it on a loop for more than six hours.

As punishment for failing his secret task, the Swedish DJ, aka Basshunter, and rapper Lady Sovereign were confined to a Punishment Room by Big Brother where his hit 'All I Ever Wanted' was played repeatedly along with alarm noises if the pair appeared to be dozing off.

Altberg exclaimed: “Punishment is one thing, but torture is another”, while Lady Sovereign asked him: “Why did you ever make this song up?”

The pair were locked in the room at 9.20pm and finally released and allowed to go to bed at 4am.

The punishment was given because Altberg had refused to carry out a secret task given to him by Big Brother, offering him the chance to win luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets for actress Stephanie Beacham, if he poured sand into another housemate’s bed without their knowledge.

Meanwhile, Vinnie Jones and Stephen Baldwin also had a restless night, without suffering any punishment.

The pair were awake at 5am, eating in the kitchen and talking about supermarket shopping in America.

They eventually went to sleep, Jones opting to bed down in the outdoor snug instead of the bedroom, but both woke up again before the alarm went off.

Jones awoke before 6am and amused himself by making porridge and reading the house rules in the living room, before finally going to bed.

Baldwin rose early and pottered about the house while the rest of the housemates were still asleep but eventually nodded off again on the sofa.

Altberg was not pleased to be woken by Big Brother’s alarm at 9.45am and began telling the housemates of the torture he had suffered the previous night.
