Marsh not the social type with Corrie co-stars

Kym Marsh does not socialise with her ‘Coronation Street’ co-stars very often.

Despite being friends with most of the cast, the actress - who plays feisty barmaid Michelle Connor - has only gone out with her colleagues a couple of times since being on the soap.

She admitted: “Once I was out with Tina O’Brien and another time I went out with my friend Vince and Helen Flanagan and a couple of the other girls came along, but it’s not something I do regularly.”

Kym, who shot to fame in pop band Hear’Say, didn’t even attend the show’s Christmas party.

She revealed: “I didn’t go this year as I had something else on. I’ve got to work – there’s only me so I’ve got to bring in the pennies. And I didn’t go last year as I was pregnant at the time.”

Of all the cast, Kym is closest to Beverley Callard, who plays Weatherfield stalwart Liz McDonald “followed by Ali King and Antony Cotton”.
