Jade Goody's mum makes Christmas visit to grave

Jackiey Budden made a Christmas visit to her daughter Jade Goody’s grave.

The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star, who lost Jade to cervical cancer on March 22 this year, was pictured teary-eyed at her daughter’s graveside, which has been decorated for the festive period.

Jackiey, 51, said: “She always loved this time of year and I couldn’t bear the thought of her not having her own tree.

“So I have this one with all the decorations and made sure everything is how Jade would want it.”

She added: “Jade’s legacy lives on and is strengthened every single time a young women goes for a smear test when she wouldn’t normally have bothered.”

Jade – who was survived by her two sons, Bobby, six, and Freddy, five, who now live with their father Jeff Brazier - revealed before her tragic death that she had ignored a letter telling her to go to hospital following abnormal test results.

Her widower Jack Tweed is currently in custody awaiting trial for the alleged rape of a 19-year-old girl. He has denied the charges.
