Ritchie pub licence reviewed after complaints

Film director Guy Ritchie will face a review of his pub licence today after neighbours in London complained about noise.

Westminster City Council’s licensing sub-committee will review the licence of the Punchbowl in central London.

The council has received 70 complaints since Ritchie bought it in March last year.

Issues highlighted by residents include noise and other nuisance behaviour as a result of customers gathering outside the pub in Farm Street.

The hearing, in the council chamber in Marylebone Road, will last around five hours but could go on until tomorrow.

A spokesman for the council said the full judgment would be issued in writing at a later date.
