Gibson reveals next film project
Mel Gibson is making a film about Mexican prisoners.
The 53-year-old 'Braveheart' star is set to play a career criminal in action-drama 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation' where he will reunite with his 2006 'Apocalypto' team.
His first assistant director on the Mayan epic Adrian Grunberg will direct, while Stacy Perskie is to produce.
Mel recently visited a Veracruz prison to scout locations for the production.
The actor is also set to join forces for a new Viking movie with Leonardo DiCaprio.
He will direct the upcoming epic and Leonardo, 35, will act the part of a man who gets sent to a violent prison in Mexico and learns how to survive with the help of a nine-year-old boy.
The film comes from screenwriter William Monahan and producer Graham King, who previously teamed up on Leonardo's 2006 movie 'The Departed'.
Graham said: “This will be an awe-inspiring story, created with some of the industry’s finest cinematic talent."
