Boyle delighted to sing with hero Paige

Susan Boyle was delighted to sing with Elaine Page on her TV special.

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star admitted she had never expected to fulfil her dream of performing with her idol after they sang ‘I Know Him So Well’ on ‘I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story’, due to air this weekend.

Susan said: “I never thought I’d see myself on the same stage with such an icon from West End theatre, let alone singing with her as an equal. I don’t want the dream to end.”

Elaine said she was delighted at her chance to perform with the 48-year-old star.

She said: “It was a pleasure to finally sing with Susan, she was a delight to work with and I think we more than did justice to one of my favourite songs.”

During the programme – which also saw the Scottish singer perform with the cast of West End musical ‘Les Miserables’ – Susan wept tears of joy after she was presented with a gold disc by host Piers Morgan to mark her astonishing debut album sales – which already number more than three million just two weeks after the album, titled ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, was released.

She said: “All this was totally unexpected. It feels b****y fantastic. I think my mum would be proud. She was quite a lady y’know.”
