'The X Factor' star - who was voted off the show in Sunday's semi-final - has reportedly caught the eye of several record labels who want to sign him to release an album next year, although hopefuls vying for his signature face competition from the show boss who wants the former teacher to commit to working with his label, Syco.

Simon said: "Singers like him do not disappear. I would just say: 'Watch this space'."

Danyl, 27, has vowed not to let missing out on a place in this week's 'X Factor' final affect his dreams and has set his sights on making a record.

He said: "I want to have a record out there - that's my dream. I just want to go into the recording studio and work with some great producers, make a good album.

"Because I think that's what we need out there - a really, really, really good album."

Danyl is also expected to make at least £150,000 from personal appearances and the 'X Factor' tour next year.
