Lloyd threatens to quit 'X Factor'

‘X Factor’ contestant Lloyd Daniels is the second finalist to threaten to quit the show.

The 16-year-old singer reportedly broke down in tears over judge Louis Walsh’s criticism of his singing, after he said he “can’t believe” Lloyd is still in the competition.

Nevertheless, Lloyd survived another week as one of the most popular acts with viewers, and escaped the sing off between the bottom two acts.

However, afterward he reportedly told producers: “I'm going, I can’t carry on.”

Speaking on ‘X Factor’ companion show ‘The Xtra Factor’ Louis said he thought Lloyd should have been in the sing-off rather than Olly Murs.

He said: “I thought it would have been Lloyd in the bottom two because he's been there, like, three times. Olly did not deserve to be in the bottom two.”

A show insider said Lloyd was shaken by the comments and also upset by the studio audience’s reaction.

A show insider told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Lloyd was in a terrible state after the show. It has got a bit too much for him. Being told that you belong in the bottom two is devastating for any of the contestants and Lloyd is really young.

“Also, when he was not put into the bottom two, the audience started booing loudly, which is a lot to take on for a young lad.

“He will be OK, he just had a knock on Sunday night and the pressure is really on. After all, there’s only three weeks left on the show.”
