Ireland mourns fall of The Breffmeister

Fresh from eviction from 'The Apprentice', Breffny Morgan says he has his sights set on management consultancy.

Six became five on last night's show on TV3 - when the hugely popular Harvard graduate became the latest hopeful to be fired.

Bill Cullen described him last night as the cat of nine lives - and he finally came unstuck on the ninth task of the season.

'Breffmania' has swept the country since the beginning of the series, and Morgan has gathered almost 25,000 fans in a Facebook fan page.

Many fans on the site last night called for Morgan to star in his own series, and said they had now lost interest in 'The Apprentice' as a result of the sacking.

"The end of a legend, or is it just the beginning!! What’s next for the Breffmeiser, it will be no good without him!" said one fan.

Morgan said he is disappointed at being fired, but is ready to take on a new challenge.

"It’s sad that the job didn’t work out with Bill, I would have loved to have worked for him, but it didn’t work out," he said.

"If anyone out there would like to hire me, I’m absolutely ready to go!"
