Minogue not speaking to Cowell after Jedward bust-up
Dannii Minogue is reportedly refusing to talk to her fellow ‘X Factor’ judge Simon Cowell.
The panellist is upset about the exit of her act, Lucie Jones, on Sunday’s show, and blames Simon after he refused to vote to save her - instead leaving the decision as to who would be sent home to the public poll.
The shock result saw tuneless duo John and Edward stay in the competition for another week while Lucie went home to Wales.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Dannii is so angry with Simon she hasn’t spoken to him since the show. Backstage on Sunday night it was very frosty and Simon just made things worse by smirking all the time. Dannii was in tears.”
Simon has since revealed he thinks he will be “public enemy number one” for his decision. The move has already prompted 3,000 angry fans to complain about the show and threaten to boycott it.
Meanwhile, John and Edward have apologised to Lucie for losing out to them and begged for forgiveness.
The twins reportedly told her: “We feel bad. We’re so, so sorry that you didn’t get through, you are an amazing singer. We think you are going to have a brilliant career and we hope you won’t blame us.
“It’s been incredible to perform on the show but the last thing we want to do is upset anyone.”
Lucie, 18, later said: “They felt guilty and unnecessarily so. It is not their fault.”
She added Simon had only briefly told her goodbye and the only advice he offered was: “Keep your chin up.”
