Marsh named Celebrity Mum Of The Year

Actress Kym Marsh was named 2009's Celebrity Mum Of The Year at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel today.

The 'Coronation Street' star – who plays Michelle Connor in the soap - also revealed at the event she has reconciled with ex-'Hollyoaks' actor Jamie Lomas after they split last month.

Kym said: "It is a real honour to get this award. It is nice to know I have got a lot of support out there – it has been a really difficult year. I have been a single parent in the past and I have had struggles, so hopefully people still think I have done the best by my children.

“It is so important to have a big family network. My parents are so supportive and their dad is very involved in our children's upbringing.”

Kym, 33, has had a stressful time over the last two years. Her marriage to former 'Eastenders' star Jack Ryder broke down last year, while newborn Archie Jay, her child with Jamie, 29, died shortly after his premature birth on February 11.

Of Jamie Kym said: "Yes, we are back together. Jamie has got a son of his own and he is a very good father, but he can't win Celebrity Mum Of The Year."

Kym lives in Cheshire with children David, 14, and Emily, 11, from a relationship before her marriage to Jack, while Jamie has a four-year-old son named Billy.
