Bon Jovi add more shows after tickets sell out

Bon Jovi’s residency at London’s O2 Arena is set to last for at least 14 nights - and promoters promised today there would be “more to come”.

The 'Livin’ On A Prayer' rockers, fronted by Jon Bon Jovi, lined up a run of five concert dates in June 2010.

But these have already sold out since tickets went on sale at 10am today, and a further nine shows have been added.

Tickets have been selling at a rate of 18 per second, promoters said, with 23,000 sales in the first two hours.

The band – whose single 'We Weren’t Born To Follow' is out now – kick off the residency on Monday June 7 next year.

They are also appearing on 'The X Factor' this Sunday, and on Fearne Cotton’s BBC Radio 1 show next Tuesday.

Promoters say the UK dates will be the band’s only European dates next year.

The band played at the venue’s opening in 2007.
