Third Elton show postponed due to illness

Elton John has had to postpone a third UK show as he battles with illness, it was announced today.

The musician was due to play Wembley Arena in London tomorrow but the show has now been pulled to allow him to rest and recover.

At present he is still due to play a Liverpool date at the Echo Arena on Wednesday.

A statement from the show’s promoter, Marshall Arts, said: “Elton continues to be unwell. It is hoped that he will make a speedy recovery so that further information can be made available.”

Promoters are in discussions to reschedule the Wembley concert for a date in December. It is also aiming to find new dates for shows in Sheffield and Newcastle which had to be dropped last week.
