Ovation for Domingo on his debut as baritone

Placido Domingo got a 20-minute ovation for his debut as a baritone although at times the career tenor had to dig deep to reach the low notes.

The Spanish opera singer was making his first appearance as a baritone in the title role of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Simon Boccanegra.
