Jude Law and Robert De Niro are being considered for ‘Thor’.

The Hollywood actors are rumoured to have joined the cast of the upcoming superhero movie – which is based on the Marvel comic book about the Norse warrior god - according to reports from a movie website.

Ain’t It Cool News reports: “According to actor, Matthias Schweighofer… in an article in the German edition of GQ, he states that he's in the running for a role in Kenneth Branagh's ‘Thor’, but he also mentions that Jude Law and Robert De Niro have joined the cast.”

Both actors have previously collaborated with Kenneth. Robert teamed up with him on ‘Frankenstein’ in 1994 while Jude starred in 2007’s ‘Sleuth’.

The forthcoming blockbuster has attracted a star-studded cast.

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth is set to play the title character while ‘Closer’ beauty Natalie Portman will portray the god’s wife, Jane Foster.

Samuel L. Jackson and Stellan Skarsgard are also believed to signed up to the 2011 blockbuster.
