Marsh hit hard by split

Kym Marsh didn’t think she’d split with Jamie Lomas “in a million years”.

The ‘Coronation Street’ beauty reportedly confided in friends about how she feels “destroyed” since she split with the former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor earlier this month.

Kym reportedly said: “I wanted marriage, babies, the works. I never thought this would happen in a million years.

“In the end, it was like living with a stranger and then he suddenly wanted out. I'm destroyed by it.”

The couple were rumoured to be getting engaged for months before the split, and the announcement is said to have left Kym reeling in shock.

A friend added to Now magazine: “When she spoke about wedding bells last year, Kym really meant it - this relationship was for keeps.

"They weren't getting on, but she still loved him, so she stuck by him. But it was Jamie who split them up. It's best in the long run, but for the moment the wounds are very fresh for Kym."

Kym, 33, and Jamie, 29, had been dating since July 2008, but had both struggled since the tragic loss of their son, Archie, just minutes after he was born in February this year.

Since leaving ‘Hollyoaks’ it has been rumoured Jamie will embark on a career in the US, while Kym is contracted to appear as Michelle Connor in ‘Coronation Street’ until next year.

She has also previously said she wouldn’t want to uproot her children, David, and Emily, from a previous relationship.
