Birkhead tells court he saw Anna Nicole take drugs

Larry Birkhead, who gained fame in a custody battle over Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, testified today that he regularly saw the ex-model take prescription drugs, including methadone.

Birkhead took the stand in a preliminary hearing to determine whether two doctors and Smith’s lawyer-boyfriend should stand trial on charges of conspiracy to illegally provide her with controlled substances.
