Lindsay Lohan to design in Paris

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t been put off by the lukewarm reception to her debut collection for Ungaro, and is already planning her new range for the French fashion house.

Lindsay Lohan will design her next Ungaro collection in Paris.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress – whose first range for the French fashion house debuted at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, and was universally panned – insists the criticism of her design skills doesn’t effect her.

She explained: “The bad reviews were down to me coming in so late and having not that much time to do a whole collection.

“I’m going back to Paris. The next collection that they have is already in January. I was thinking about March, I mean I thought that I have until March, and they’re like, ‘Oh no-no-no it’s January in New York.’ I was like, ‘OK… I’ll be back!’ ”

Lindsay is the brand’s artistic advisor, and created with the last range alongside Spanish designer Estrella Archs.

The line included jewel-coloured harem pants, thigh-skimming mini dresses, silver sequinned nipple pasties under blazers, and sequinned jackets.

It was criticised for lacking innovation, with prestigious fashion title Women's Wear Daily blasted the "cheesy and dated”.

Referring to comments about the heart-shaped tassels several models wore on their breasts, Lindsay said: “I wasn’t aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out.”

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old actress has revealed she had no idea her mother Dina was releasing her own range of shoes.

Dina announced the line, called Shoe-Han, last week.

Lindsay told America’s OK! magazine yesterday: “She was just talking to me about that. I had no idea! I just found out like yesterday.

“She’s excited. And she has great taste in shoes. Since I’ve been a little girl I’ve always known my mom to be in heels. Never in flats. So I would buy her flats and she would never wear them. They’ll all be heels.”
