Aniston swings and misses again with 'Love Happens'
Director: Brandon Camp
Cast: Aaron Eckhart, Jennifer Aniston, Dan Fogler, Martin Sheen
Cert: 12
Just where is Aniston’s career heading?
The glorious gal from Friends continues to make – though never actually ‘star’ in – dire romantic films such as this when her fans look on in horror and wish somebody would bring her a script that requires her to be brave, to act and to carry a film.
Love actually hardly happens in this film since it’s so poorly constructed, badly written and brings us an Aniston who looks like she wishes she was someplace else.
Eckhart plays a self-help writer, Dr Ryan, who is on the lecture circuit promoting his book about coping with loss. He meets up with florist Eloise (Aniston) and, though they both have emotional issues, they think this might just be the big moment.
The trouble is it’s such a poor, clichéd film we simply don’t care.
Star Rating: 1/5
