Former lover of 'Eastenders' star McFadden arrested

Steve McFadden's ex-lover has been arrested after damaging a vehicle parked at the 'EastEnders' star's home.

The actor's former girlfriend and mother of his three-month-old daughter Amelie, Dr Rachel Sidwell, reportedly damaged a moped parked on his driveway and yelled abuse while pounding on his front door last Thursday.

Although Steve - who plays hardman Phil Mitchell in the BBC soap - wasn't at his North London home at the time, his son Matt called the police.

However, by the time officers got there, Rachel had left and when Steve returned to his home, he gave police her contact details.

They then asked Rachel - who has now moved back in with her husband James Green, after she left him to be with Steve - to attend Hornsey police station the following day, where she was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and was bailed until November.

A Met Police spokesman said: "We can confirm police were called to a disturbance at Highgate at 9pm on Thursday 1st October.

"A woman in her early 40s was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after attending a North London police station by appointment the following day. Inquiries continue."

Steve and Rachel split last month, after the medic said the 50-year-old star couldn't be trusted.
