Let me see my son, Yorke tell Price
Former footballer Dwight Yorke claimed today he had not seen or spoken to the son he had with Katie Price in a year.
The one-time Manchester United striker is currently promoting his book 'Dwight Yorke: The Offficial Biography'.
He said he wanted to play a role in seven-year-old Harveyās upbringing, but had not been āgiven the opportunityā.
He told BBC Radio 5ās 'Simon Mayo' programme he would try to have more contact now Price had divorced her husband Peter Andre.
āI would like to play an integral part in his upbringing, of course, I love my kid but wasnāt given the opportunity to really bring him up in the manner I would like to bring him up in,ā he said.
āI havenāt spoken to, I have havenāt seen him in a year.ā
Yorke said there was a āmisconceptionā about him being a bad father to Harvey, who is blind.
āFor seven years Iāve had to bear all of this and I think enough is enough,ā he said.
āWe tried to sit around a table on numerous occasions and for some reason that never materialises at all.
āIām going to try and make inroads again now that the relationship [Price and Andre] is over, Iāve gone down the legal route before and I was entitled to see him for a certain period of time and a certain time but she calls all the shots.ā
