No magic in dull 'Fame'

A disappointing remake of the 1980s film and TV series featuring the hopes and fears of the young students at the New York Academy of Performing Arts.

The original was a lively, all-singing, all-dancing affair done with flair and pace but this one is a lame effort that doesn’t come close to recapturing the magic. It’s a dumb steal from 'High School Musical', without that series’ flair and pace.

Not even Grammer can lift it beyond the dull and ordinary.
