Burt (Krasinski) and Verona (Rudolph) are an expectant couple who set out on a cross-Stateside trip in order to find themselves and to find the perfect place in which to settle down and raise a family.

Along the way – and a very entertaining and enlightening way it proves to be – they encounter friends, family and assorted colourful characters and in what is really a late coming-of-age story we find ourselves thoroughly caught up in the couple’s adventures and misadventures.

Mendes, who does thoughtful comedy to perfection, brings us characters of depth and heart and a film that never falters.

Star Rating: 4/5
