Williams to debut single on 'X Factor'

Robbie Williams will make his comeback performance on ‘The X Factor’.

The singer will sing the worldwide debut of his latest single, 'Bodies', on the show – his first UK TV appearance since 2006 – but has admitted he is worried some contestants on the reality TV singing programme could outperform him.

The 35-year-old star, who has sold over 55 million solo records, told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "There's this one guy on 'The X Factor' who is amazing. I think he could take my place. I've got my eye on him. He's dead."

Robbie has, however, refused to reveal which hopeful he is concerned about – although fans are speculating it is one of the show’s early favourites; which include Danyl Johnson, Jamie Archer and Olly Murs.

The singer – a self confessed reality TV fan – also said he is a big fan of Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle, who shot to fame when she appeared on 'Britain's Got Talent' earlier this year.

However, instead of being scared she will sell more albums than him, Robbie fears for Susan's life as she struggles to cope with her newfound fame.

He says: "I'm afraid for her. I seriously am. It will not take much to push her over the edge. Her head seems like a strange place to be."

Susan spent time in rehab after she collapsed from exhaustion following the final of the talent quest – which she didn’t win - earlier this year, but triumphed earlier this week when she received a standing ovation after performing her first single ‘Wild Horses’ on US TV show ‘American Idol’, to an estimated audience of 25 million people.

Robbie's new album 'Reality Killed The Video Star' will be released in November.
