West blogs apology to Swift

Kayne West has posted a brief apology to Taylor Swift on his blog after he gate-crashed her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards at the weekend.

West bounded on stage, took the microphone from Swift and insisted Beyonce should have won the 'Best Female Video' gong instead of Swift.

The teenage country music star was left speechless and bewildered by West's antics, as he handed back the microphone and left the stage as abruptly as he had come on.

On his blog, West says: "I feel like Ben Stiller in "Meet the Parents" when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave...

"That was Taylor's moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry."
